The US senate passed HR-4302 Monday March 31. Among many other things this bill:

Delays until October 1, 2015, the transition from International Statistical Classification of Diseases (ICD)-9 to ICD-10.

It was presented to the President on Apr 1 and he is expected to sign it. This means that ICD-9 will continue to be the US standard for medicare and government programs until at least Oct 2015, and thus a de-facto standard for all private insurers and medical providers.
