Subject: Join NMSAAM and Strengthen Our Acupuncture Community!
Dear Esteemed DOMs of New Mexico,
We hope this message finds you in good health and high spirits. As fellow practitioners of the ancient healing art, we share a profound commitment to improving the well-being of our patients and promoting holistic health.
Why Join or rejoin NMSAAM?
- Unity and Advocacy: By joining the New Mexico Society of Acupuncture and Asian Medicine (NMSAAM), you become part of a vibrant, inclusive community that advocates for our profession. Together, we amplify our voice, ensuring that acupuncture and Asian medicine receive the recognition it deserves.
- Professional Growth: NMSAAM offers valuable resources, including continuing education opportunities, networking events, and access to cutting-edge research. As acupuncturists, we thrive when we learn, collaborate, and evolve together.
- Patient Impact: Your membership directly benefits your patients. NMSAAM’s commitment to excellence and high standards ensures safe and effective care. By staying connected, you contribute to better patient outcomes.
- ASA State Membership: The American Society of Acupuncturists consists of state members, like a republic. Thus, when you join NMSAAM, you are a member of the ASA, which gives you additional unity, advocacy, professional growth, and patient impact. We are stronger because of the ASA!
How Can You Get Involved?
- Attend NMSAAM events, such as the upcoming Annual Meeting on September 15, 2024, where your voice matters.
- Participate in the NMSAAM FUN-Raiser on October 26—a celebration of the October 24 Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine Day.
- Attend ASA events, like this last 2024 ASA Annual Conference held in Washington DC on April 5-7 and earn CEUs while networking nationally.
- Collaborate with fellow DOMs to address the opioid crisis through non-pharmacological pain management solutions.
Remember, your involvement is voluntary, but your impact is immeasurable. Let’s strengthen our community, elevate our profession, and create a healthier New Mexico together. The more members NMSAAM has, the more NMSAAM can do.
For more information and to join, visit the NMSAAM website.
Thank you for your dedication to healing and wellness.
Warm regards,
Dr. Yvonne Wylie Walston, DOM
