The following was sent to us by a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Washington:

With growing concern and unrest in the face of the COVID-19 global pandemic, there is no better time to come together as a community and gain perspective on the acupuncture profession.

The Acupuncture and Telehealth (AcuTe) Survey is a brief online survey conducted by the University of Washington that aims to collect data on how acupuncture practices have been affected by COVID-19 crisis due to the imposed physical (social) distancing restrictions. With the data from the AcuTe Survey and future studies, we hope to have a better understanding of the rapid changes implemented by acupuncturists during a global crisis. We are interested in hearing from all licensed acupuncturists and East Asian Medicine practitioners whether they offer telehealth services or not.

We hope this survey will set the stage for larger survey studies of profession-wide effects similar to the benchmark studies in other medical professions. This survey was developed with the intention to support the individuals and organizations of acupuncture and East Asian Medicine in the United States.
