CPR/AED/BLS New Requirement: Where You Can Get Training

Greetings fair NM DOMs! Since the BAOM planned to require in-person CPR/AED/BLS as of this year to renew our licenses, we at NMSAAM thought that it would be fun for 18 per class of us to do it together, so we sponsored a class for June 13 at Action CPR.

As you probably know, the June 13 class was cancelled due to complications from the COVID-19 pandemic, and you have probably seen the public notice from the NM Regulation and Licensing Department, where the BAOM has suspended the requirement for submission of CPR certification during the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency at this time.

However, if you want to get ahead of the curve, you can now schedule with Action CPR for an in-person class with Brandie Van Dossen. Once the Public Health Emergency has lifted, DOMs will have 3 months to submit proof of CPR certification or recertification.

Just go to the Action CPR website, email or call for a schedule. Typically, there are classes during the week and on Saturdays, and you can choose which one works for your schedule.

NMSAAM VP Yvonne Walston, DOM reports that she always does in-person classes for this, and she highly recommends Action CPR after discovering it last year when she was renewing:
